How to Opt Out of Nuwber and Remove Your Profile
Last checked: October 25, 2026
Quick answer: Find your Nuwber profile and copy its exact URL first — the removal tool will not search by name for you. Go to nuwber.com/removal/link, paste the URL, enter your email, click Remove, then click the link in the confirmation email. A removed profile eventually returns a 410 ("gone") error, which is the cleanest verification this site offers.
Nuwber is a people-search site that builds a profile page for each person it lists. Its removal process is straightforward once you know its one unusual requirement: everything starts from your profile URL. Readers who open the removal tool expecting to type their name and search — as most brokers allow — get stuck immediately. Do the search first, on the main site.
Steps to opt out of Nuwber
- Find your profile on Nuwber. Search nuwber.com by your name and location and open your profile page.
- Copy the exact profile URL. Copy the full address from your browser's address bar. Do not shorten it, and do not use a search-results link — you need the profile page URL itself.
- Open the removal tool. Go to nuwber.com/removal/link. This is the removal address given in Nuwber's own privacy policy.
- Paste the URL and enter your email. Paste the profile URL into the form and enter an email address you can check right away.
- Click Remove. Submit the request.
- Click the confirmation email. Nuwber sends a confirmation message; clicking its link completes the request. Submitting the form alone is not the finish line — an unconfirmed request does not remove anything.
- Repeat for each profile. The tool handles one request per URL. If you have multiple profiles — an old city, a former name, a duplicate listing — repeat the full process for each URL.
Nuwber pitfalls
No URL, no removal. The form will not search by name alone. If you cannot find your profile through the site's search, try searching Google for your name plus "nuwber," or search variations of your name and past cities. Each distinct profile URL needs its own request.
The email click is the request. This is the most common failure point, here and at several other brokers: the form submission starts the process, and the confirmation email finishes it. If the message does not arrive, check spam and promotions folders, then resubmit with an address you control.
Google lags behind the site. Even after Nuwber removes your profile, Google may keep showing the old link in search results for roughly two weeks, until it recrawls the page and finds it gone. That is a Google delay, not a Nuwber refusal. You can speed it up with Google's outdated content removal tool, which asks Google to refresh a result that no longer matches the live page.
Profiles can be rebuilt. Nuwber collects from external sources. If the same information is collected again, a new profile can appear later under a new URL — which is why verification should be repeated periodically, not done once and forgotten.
How long it takes and how to verify
Nuwber does not give us a processing time we can quote with confidence, so verify directly rather than by the calendar:
- After confirming by email, wait a few days and open your profile URL.
- Look for a 410 error. A removed page later returns a 410 ("gone") response. That is a useful verification trick: a 410 means the page has been deliberately removed, which is stronger evidence than a temporary error.
- If the profile still loads with your information, the request has not completed — check that you clicked the confirmation email, then contact [email protected] with the profile URL.
- Separately, search Google for your name. If a dead Nuwber link still appears after about two weeks, submit it to Google's outdated content tool.
Rather have it done for you? Doing this site by site is free but slow. Services such as Incogni and Optery submit, confirm, and re-check removal requests across many brokers for a fee.
